Blanchland.org - April 2007 |
Blanchland.org was a website project I undertook on behalf of Blanchland Community Development Organisation, with the aim of promoting the whole village as a tourist attraction. The site style was inspired by the countryside that surrounds the village, hence the various greens and browns. Interesting features of the site include a number of Javascript and PHP scripts as well as a custom Flash gallery. The Adobe Macromedia Studio suite was the primary software used during development. The site has proved extremely popular, with a great number of enquiries about the village from around the world.

WhiteMonk.co.uk - July 2008 |
I was asked to develop this website for the tearoom in the village where I live, as part of an effort to promote tourism. To match the style of the business I aimed to produce a website that looked classic, inviting, warm and was simple to navigate. I used a free prebuilt CSS template I found from DemusDesign that perfectly matched the look I was hoping for. The only tools used in the creation of the site were Adobe Dreamweaver for the code and Fireworks for image manipulation. The owner of the business was extremely pleased with the final result. |
