InterTwine is a game demo produced as part of a group project during a course at Abertay University. The program was built using the Ogre3D graphics rendering engine. The group consisted of 8 people from various disciplines, including programmers, artists and producers. My role within the team was as a programmer mainly responsible for implementing the input system, the character controls and setting up the engine, although I also had to assist with other areas of the game production. I was also the main debugger of engine related problems.

The full game would involve guiding a group of aliens through a series of puzzles as they attempt to close a number of interdimensional tears. The aliens possess the ability to create copies of themselves with different properties based on the elements earth, air, fire and water. Through combining different types of aliens, the various in game challenges can be overcome. This demo gives an example of a single puzzle in which the player has to enter a cave blocked by large boulder. The installer below will allow you to play the demo and optionally view the source code.
